Team Share with Multiple Members

Adding Members

To invite someone to your share:

  1. Open the share
  2. Click the + button in the Team Members panel (right side)
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Select a role (Viewer, Editor, or Admin)
  5. Click Add

They need to add you as a contact to see your share. Adding someone as a member gives them permission, but they must connect to you to discover the share. See How Sharing Works.

Choosing the Right Role

When in doubt, start with Viewer and upgrade later.

Requirements

For someone to access your share:

  1. They must have a Handrive account
  2. Their account must use the email address you invite
  3. They must be online to browse or download files

What Members See

Once they add you as a contact, they can:

  • See your share in their sidebar (under your name)
  • Browse the file list
  • Download files based on their role
  • See other members of the share

Managing Members

View All Members

  1. Right-click the share → Members
  2. See the list of all members and their roles

Change a Member's Role

  1. Open the Members panel
  2. Click the member's current role
  3. Select the new role

Remove a Member

  1. Open the Members panel
  2. Find the member
  3. Click the remove button (X or trash icon)
  4. Confirm removal

Only Owners and Admins can add, remove, or change member roles.

Collaboration Tips

  • Communicate - Let people know when you've invited them
  • Explain permissions - Tell members what they can and can't do
  • Review regularly - Remove members who no longer need access
  • Use descriptive names - Name your share clearly so members know what it's for
